In and Around La Paz

La Paz, the city of peace, is an eclectic mix of laid-back, cosmopolitan, traditional and upscale.  The crown of the city is the beachside Malecon, with its wonderful restaurants and funky stores that make it a great place to live.  The Malecon is a reconstructed waterfront, with its wide sidewalk, many beaches, tourist pier, benches, sculptures by local artists and incredible sunset views.  The Malecon has become the city’s biggest highlight, It stretches 5.5K (3.5 Miles) from Mariana de la paz in the south to Playa Coromuel to the north.  La Paz has a dry desert climate and often cool ocean breezes at night, making it a wonderful place to live.

Within 20 minutes you can be in El Centenario and Comitan.  El Centenario is a typical Mexican town, with small friendly tiendas (shops) offering just about anything you need from building supplies to clothing, medical services to mechanics…and of course, the Vista Properties office!  On the outskirts of El Centenario, you can take advantage of incredible views of the Bay of La Paz, the city, and the mountains beyond, which is why this area is one of the fastest growing in Southern Baja. There are many available lots and homes, both in the town itself, or in the developing neighborhoods on the hills outside.

Comitan is a small enclave located near Centenario on the back bay.  The homes in Comitan are on the bay or within 5 minutes walking distance to the sand!

Drive another 20 minutes from El Centenario and Comitan towards San Juan de la Costa and you will be on a secluded beach, perfect for beachcombing or just communing with nature.

Or if you are really looking for something off the beaten path, forty five minutes to the north on the Pacific, you will find Playas Pacificas.  Beautiful ocean front lots and incredible open beaches await you!

If wind surfing is your thing, forty minutes from La Paz are El Sargento and La Ventana.  A beautiful spot on the Sea of Cortez.  The views are incredible.  This is an outdoor sportsperson's paradise!

Todos Santos is one hour+ away from La Paz and offers old world charm and a bit of a bohemian vibe.  The small town is filled with art galleries and shops with beautiful handicrafts from all over Mexico.  Restaurants abound... everything from traditional Mexican fare, to Italian, to East Indian and more!
