EL COMITAN
EL COMITAN is a beachfront community located just north of El Centenario on the Bay of La Paz. Started in the late 60's, Comitan features a Bohemian population of Mexicans, Americans, Canadians and Europeans. It's a quiet place with two restaurants and several guest accommodations. Residents love the privacy and tranquility that Comitan provides, yet it's still just a 10-minute drive to shopping and amenities. No matter where you live in Comitan, you're always within a short walk to the sea. A huge perk for Comitaners is that they have an absolutely A-One place for walking. The beach road between Comitan and El Centenario offers up the perfect view of La Paz and the mountains over the calm blue waters of the bay. Walking here makes fitness joyful!
Enjoy a whole new lifestyle! Check out the Comitan listings below!
(For some strange reason, the sunsets here are different. They're bigger. Come prove it for yourself.)

Buying in Baja...
Spring is the perfect time to find your La Paz home! WHY?
It’s spring in La Paz! That means the whales are headed north, and the Semana Santa crowds have already dispersed, along with many of the winter visitors returning to their northern homes. That makes spring the perfect time to buy a home in La Paz! Why?
While La Paz is the perfect place to live for many of us, homeowners may decide to sell their La Paz homes for many reasons, whether it’s to move to another community in La Paz, return north for personal or professional reasons, or to upsize or downsize here in La Paz. Often, these sellers decide to enjoy one last winter season in their current La Paz homes before putting them up for sale. That means more available inventory for buyers and more motivated sellers.
If you are thinking of selling, now is a great time to put your home on the market, before the heat of summer hits. The tourist crowds are thinning, leaving more serious buyers who may be visiting specifically with the intent to find their perfect La Paz vacation or retirement home.
If you have been thinking of buying a home in La Paz, now is a wonderful time to come and explore the many options available. The weather is balmy, the water is warmer, the beaches less crowed, and sellers are often motivated and ready to negotiate.
There are options to fit almost any budget and wish list. Whether your idea of the perfect home is a new condo within walking distance to the malecon, a charming beach bungalow steps from the water or a house with a yard and a view of La Paz Bay, chances are you can find it here.
La Paz remains one of the most affordable, varied and exciting places to live in Baja. It is constantly growing and changing, yet retains the peaceful, relaxing vibe it was named for (“La Paz” literally translates to “The Peace.”) Whether you are looking to buy or considering selling, now is a great time to move forward.
We love helping both buyers and sellers find their perfect match. Give us a call or drop us a note (website link below), and we’ll be happy to walk you through the options.

Need a Furry Friend? Baja Dogs is Here to Help!
Do you love animals? Are you looking for a way to volunteer while vacationing or winter-sojourning in Baja? Or do you just miss your furry friends back home and need some puppy love while you’re here?
Baja Dogs La Paz is here to help! The non-profit organization works with volunteers who rescue abandoned dogs from the street to help them find their perfect forever homes. Some get adopted locally here in Baja, while many others are adopted by families in the U.S. or in Canada.
Volunteer opportunities are plentiful, from fostering a dog temporarily while you are here, to bringing dogs to socialization classes, helping with adoption events, or acting as a “pet escort” for dogs that are flying north to their new home.
